POLLEN'S VIABILITY IS THE DETERMINING FACTOR in how effective it will be in setting a good crop. For this reason, we only supply pollen which has been tested and shown to have high viability. The greater the viability, the greater the likelihood of setting a successful crop.

TESTING

SAMPLES OF POLLEN FROM EACH VARIETY are tested multiple times throughout the year for viability. The pollen is tested again in the spring, before the growing season begins, to ensure the pollen has remained viable throughout its storage. When properly produced and cared for, pollen can remain viable for two to five years without significant loss of viability.

WE ALSO PROVIDE COMPLIMENTARY VIABILITY TESTING. If there is any doubt on whether pollen which has been stored is still viable or not, please ship us a sample or bring a sample to our office and we can have test results available within the same day.
